About the Atelier
A small Asheville studio where hand embroidery and a trusty machine turn your ideas into keepsakes.
Four stitchers, one sunny workroom
Stitchwell Atelier began with name tees for friends: one hoop, a box of thread and a kitchen table that was always covered in fabric. Word travelled, the orders grew, and today four stitchers share a sunny workroom on Mill Lane in Asheville.
We mix hand embroidery with a multi-head machine, so delicate lettering and bold fills get the finish each deserves. Every piece is still made for one person at a time, checked stitch by stitch, then pressed and packed by the hands that made it.
What we care about
Three promises behind everything that leaves the studio.
Slow, careful stitching
We never rush a hoop. Each piece gets the time it needs to look right.
Thread that lasts
Colourfast threads that keep their colour through wash and wear.
Made for you, one at a time
Nothing is mass-made. Your piece is stitched when you order it.
Inside the studio
Hoops, machines and morning light on Mill Lane.
